  22. Installing Windows 3.0

  24. If you already have Windows 3.0 installed, follow steps 3 through 5 below.

  26.      Install Windows 3.0 selecting "VGA" or "Video Seven VGA w/512K"
  27.      as the display option.
  28.      NOTE:  Choosing "Video Seven VGA w/512K" will lead to incorrect
  29.      results with the VRAM II.
  30.   2  Start Microsoft Windows.
  31.   3  Place the Video Seven VGA Windows 3.0 Driver Disk in Drive A.
  32.   4  Use the FILE-RUN command and type:

  34.      A:\V7SETUP <Enter>
  35.  
  36.      V7SETUP will modify your Windows SETUP.INF file so you can easily 
  37.      change resolutions from within Windows.
  38.   5  To change your display resolution while in Windows, run Windows SETUP.
  39.      Select "Options" and then "Change System Settings."  Choose from
  40.      the list of Video Seven drivers the display resolution you wish to 
  41.      install.
  42.   6  Select "Restart Windows" and you will be in the resolution you
  43.      chose in step 5.

  45.   386 Owners:  Running Windows 3.0 in 386 Enhanced Mode requires the
  46.   file VDDVGA.386 on the Video Seven Windows Driver Disk be used.  Windows
  47.   SETUP will copy this file from the disk, however, you may be required
  48.   to have your Windows 3.0 disks available to complete this step.

  50.   VGA 16 Owners:  If your VGA 16 is in "PURE VGA" mode, you will experience
  51.   problems running Windows.  To correctly run Windows you should make
  52.   sure that the VGA 16 extended modes are enabled (i.e. Switch 8 is
  53.   set to ON, or you have run V7VGA PURE:OFF prior to executing the
  54.   Windows command.
  55.   If, for some reason, you wish to run Windows with the VGA 16 set in
  56.   PURE mode, you must add the following line to the [386Enh] section of your
  57.   Windows SYSTEM.INI file:

  59.        EMMExclude=C000-C7FF
